Are Smoking Bans Becoming Too Restrictive?

Friday June 23, 2006
Public smoking bans have been in the news quite a bit lately. Not only are more localities considering and adopting bans against smoking in public, the bans are becoming more restrictive, too. Timely article. Just read about bans in Indiana, Colorado, and Baltimore. What’s the world coming to?

I don’t know why smoking is banned outdoors. The only exception might be in outdoor stadiums, but even then it doesn’t seem to be as much of a health issue as it is a way to prevent annoyances.

The local, state,& federal government ban on smoking is a farce & is the first sign of communism taking place. They haven’t put a ban on obese people eating cheeseburgers. My mother has lived with a smoker since she was 14 yrs. old & is now 78 yrs. old, & has had no side effects, & I know others. Non smokers, open your eyes, your day is coming. Just wait until something you enjoy is banned. I can’t wait to hear you squeal & cry, you’ve been warned.
