RTDA Cigar News
Monday July 17, 2006
A new venture known as Panama Tabac Group S. A. is making its first public appearance at the RTDA convention in Las Vegas (Booth 1195). Fred A. Edwards of J. Donovan Leigh, Ltd. and David Reynaga of Joyas de Panama S.A. are combining their expertise to promote Panamanian tobacco and cigars. According to Edwards, "I believe the Panamanian tobacco and cigars are one of the enigmas of the tobacco world. Its quality far exceeds many other well known tobaccos and that is a shame for the cigar smokers that have not experienced this great product." It will be interesting to see if Panamanian cigars catch on in the U.S., and we wish this new company the best of luck.
