Cigar Rating Experiment – Part IV
Monday August 28, 2006
After aging for three weeks in a humidor, the taste of our Flor de Oliva Gold test cigar did not improve further since last week's test. Since we are also doing a little side experiment with the beverages consumed while testing the cigars as they age, the enjoyment of this week's cigar actually declined a bit when compared to last week. This can be attributed to drinking diet peach ice tea with test cigars 1, 2 and 4, as opposed to Irish Cream with cigar number 3 (last week). After considering the drink factor, it is now safe to say that the Flor de Oliva Gold cigar is getting better with age. The accompanying beverage, as well as other factors, can affect the taste of a particular smoke, but the effect of aging is by far the most crucial factor under your control.
