Cigar Rating Experiment - Part VI
Wednesday October 4, 2006
It has been one month since the last taste test in our cigar aging experiment. A bundle of Flor de Oliva Gold cigars have now been aging in a humidor for two months. I was surprised to discover that the cigar that I smoked this month, while drinking a White Russian, did not taste quite as good as the cigar tested last month while drinking a German beer. With an extra month of aging, and with an accompanying drink that should have enhanced my overall experience of smoking a handmade cigar while sipping a tasty libation, I discovered just the opposite. Although it is still too early to draw any final conclusions, it appears that these cigars will improve with age, but there may be some inconsistencies among the cigars, despite being from the same bundle. It is also possible that my level of enjoyment was affected by other factors.Return to this website for the results of future experiments, or subscribe to our free newsletter or RSS Feed for automatic updates.
