If you think that custom cigar bands are old fashioned, it could be time to personalize your favorite cigars by utilizing some advanced technology. A company called Signature Stogies will personalize your favorite cigars using a patented laser engraving process, or you can order custom-engraved long filler Dominican cigars directly from the company. In addition to having custom cigars created for special occasions such as weddings and birth announcements, laser engraving can also be used by cigar companies for private labels and counterfeit prevention.

According to Sidney H. Taylor II, owner and operator of Signature Stogies, “Laser engraving allows for a very customized cigar that is unlike anything else in the market, unlike personalized cigar bands, laser engraved cigars offer the ability to utilize the whole length of the cigar for personalization. We can even customize with company logos and contact information. While Cigar bands can fall off, laser engraved cigars last until they are smoked.” The laser engraved process is patented for use on all foliage including tobacco leaves. The unique patented process pulls the pigment out of the leaf leaving behind a white colored marking. The process is environmentally safe and does not affect the integrity of the cigar.
