Review of a Helix Blue Tubular Cigar

Sunday July 15, 2007
Helix and Macanudo cigars have a few things in common, including a nice mild flavor that comes (in part) from their Connecticut shade wrappers and Mexican binders. Both cigars are also made by the General Cigar Company, but in different countries. However, Helix cigars are much less expensive, making them an excellent value for newer cigar smokers, and for experienced connoisseurs who enjoy an occasional mild cigar, especially during the summer months. Read my full review of the Helix Blue Tubular cigar.

I recently also tried the Helix Tubular, and enjoyed it a lot. Mine arrived in the tube a little dry, so I put the others into my humidor to bring them back to good health. The (first dry)one I did smoke was pretty smooth and pleasant, and I’m looking forward to the others from the bundle… Very mild, nice flavor.
