Review of CAO America Cigars

Monday December 17, 2007
CAO did a great job of promoting their new America line of cigars prior to their official introduction at the RTDA convention in August 2007. The cigars were made available to the public during October 2007, and I admit that this was one cigar that I was looking forward to smoking. The CAO America cigar is a pinstriped cigar that is not only made with two different Connecticut wrapper leafs, but the blend also includes some filler tobaccos grown in the USA. This is an American patriotic cigar made with American tobacco and having both an American patriotic name and appearance. Although this is my top choice of cigars to smoke on patriotic American holidays, the CAO America is also a unique cigar that is recommended for other special occasions, as well. Read my full review of CAO America cigars to get the full scoop.

I bought two of these for this years July 4th festivities. The first had a hard draw and I had to touch up the burn all the way through. The second had no draw, I tried to save it but I couldn’t keep it lit. I am truly disappointed.

CAO draw tests all of its cigars, so there is a good chance that your America cigars were not handled or stored properly after they left the factory. Regardless, most reputable tobacconists will either give you a refund or replace defective cigars.
