Salute the Armed Forces with Cigars
Thursday May 15, 2008
In the United States, we remember and honor all members of the Armed Forces on the third Saturday of May, which will fall this year on May 17, 2008. In addition, the last Monday of May is Memorial Day, when we will remember all who gave their all while serving their country. All veterans, both living and deceased, are also honored on Veteran's Day during November of each year. However, there is no reason not to remember our troops currently serving in places like Iraq and Afghanistan on any day. A great way to support our troops stationed overseas is to participate in our "Cigars for Troops" program. The program is open to cigar companies and individuals, alike. Click here to find out how you can help honor and support America's Finest on Armed Forces Day, Memorial Day, and any day.We will continue to acknowledge all contributions made through this program on our website. Here is the latest communiqué received from Capt. Jonathan Funk in Afghanistan:
"Just wanted to let you know I received a shipment from Perry Royer in Battle Creek MI, as well as one directly from Thompson Cigars, and PJ of Back Home Box is continuing to support us. I had been out of Kabul on a brief trip, and returned to find my desk piled high! Yesterday I sent packages including bundles of cigars to 6 of our downrange FOBs."
Make sure to visit our Cigars For Troops Image Gallery to view the latest photos sent by our troops, as well as acknowledgments to those who have contributed.
