Back in April 2007, we established a Cigars for Troops Program with Major Mitch Fadem, while he was stationed in Kabul, Afghanistan. Mitch, who is now a Lt. Colonel, is the same Dr. Mitch Fadem who occasionally writes cigar reviews for this website. After Mitch returned from Afghanistan, the Cigars for Troops torch was passed to others, who continued the tradition of distributing donated cigars to the troops across Afghanistan and Iraq. Our current Kabul Cigar Czar is Major Tom Esser, who recently provided some pictures of our gallant troops enjoying the cigars that our readers contributed to the program. Enjoy browsing through the new image gallery, and please continue to support the cause by sending cigars directly to our troops in the field, with no middleman involved. Your cigar donations will go directly into the hands (and mouths) of our troops serving overseas. We salute our troops for their service to our country, and we salute you for your generosity!Photo: Courtesy of Major Tom Esser
