The law that made it illegal to advertise cigarettes and little cigars on television and radio in the United States did not apply to large cigars. Although I still hear cigar advertisements on the radio, I can't remember the last time that I saw a cigar being advertised on television. Anyway, I wonder what some popular and/or vintage television ads would look like if they were used to publicize cigars instead of the products for which they were originally developed. Here are just a few examples:
- Hey, how about a nice Honduran Punch?
- I don't always smoke cigars, but when I do, I prefer Don Diego.
- You only go around once in life, so you've got to grab for all the Gurkha's you can.
- You deserve a fake today, so light up and puff away on a Perdomo Genuine Counterfeit Cuban.
