Perla Del Mar by J.C. Newman is a cigar made with a blend of tobaccos from four different regions in Nicaragua. These cigars are available in four different sizes, and size does matter, at least according to one very respected aficionado. To find out more, read my Review of Perla Del Mar Cigars.

Sounds like a good smoke in objective terms. How did you feel about it though? Is it something you’d buy again? What did you enjoy/not enjoy about it? You only gave it 3.5 stars, even though you describe it as an excellent value.

Good questions. With an average box price of only $5 per cigar, the value is what I liked most about the Perla Del Mar. 3 1/2 stars means that it was rated as being a good cigar. It wasn’t exceptional, great, nor even very good. There are a lot of good cigars out there, but this one is priced lower than most. However, there are also enough 4+ star cigars out there (with even lower prices) that I would buy again before the Perla. Regardless, if this is a cigar that you have never tried before, then it is definitely worth a shot.
