Definition: A cigar band is a strip of paper that is wrapped around the body of a cigar near the head, which indicates the name of the brand, and in some cases, additional information such as country of origin and whether the cigar is hand made. Cigar bands are more than just labels, as they are also marketing devices that may utilize fancy works of art and eye catching graphics.
